Flux pumps for fire fighting applications

FLUX drum pumps in transferring of foam agents

The task:
Foam agents are essential in firefighting operations. They are used for class B fires and are now also increasingly used for class A fires.
The foam agents are sold and delivered in various
containers, including 200 liter drums and 1 000 liter IBCs. From these containers, the foam agents need to be filled into smaller containers.

The solution of the FLUX experts:
FLUX offers different solutions for the delivery of foam agents, from preconfigured sets for immediate use consisting of drum pump, motor, hose and nozzle to individual pump solutions. In addition, FLUX offers various motor
options. There is a choice of electric motors for use in the fire station or via an emergency power generator on the emergency vehicle, as well as compressed air-driven motors for use by the vehicle’s compressed air tank.

Drum pump set for fire brigade use
Preconfigured pump set for pumping foam concentrate and low concentration acids. Consisting of barrel pump F 430 with sliding mechanical seal, outer tube material polypropylene, collector motor F 458, hose line, hand nozzle and compression gland screw connection.

 Delivery head: max. 9.5 mwc
 Viscosity: foam concentrate up to max. 1 000 mPas
 Easy disassembly
 Universal and flexible application
 Easy to clean, as no medium can get into the inner tube

VISCOPOWER F 570 progressive cavity pumps for high-viscosity foaming agents
FLUX VISCOPOWER progressive cavity pumps are suitable for pumping low-viscosity to viscous and even high-viscosity foaming agents. The positive displacement pumps operate with low turbulence, at constant pressure and ensure gentle and pulsation-free pumping.

 Delivery rate: max. 35 I/min
 Delivery head: max. 150 mwc
 Viscosity: foam concentrate from 800 mPas Very easy and fast cleaning
 Also available as Ex-proof pumps
 Low-turbulence and gentle pumping

Typical tasks in fire fighting dangerous goods operation:

The task
It is often necessary during firefighting operations to
remove hazardous substances such as highly flammable fluids, acids or alkalis from a damaged vehicle or container to not endanger the operation and to be able to safely
continue with the recovery mission. For such dangerous substances, special pumps are required.

The solution of the FLUX experts
FLUX offers a wide range of solutions for conveying
hazardous materials.
The solutions are based on either electrical or compressed air motors. Further many pumps are available with approval for ATEX areas.

Drum pump FP 425 Ex in stainless steel for 99.98 % residual & drum emptying The drum pump for demanding hazardous substances applications. In addition equipped with a coupling for a tanker truck in DN 50 and foot strainer, it complies with the require-ments of DIN 1455512 (dangerous goods equipment truck). It can be used universally for a wide range of flammable or non-flammable fluids. After the IBCs, drums or tankers have been emptied the backflow of the medium from the pressure hose is avoided by means of a built-in adjustment mechanism.

 Flow rate: max. 120 l/min
 Delivery head: max. 12 mwc
 Explosion-proof
 Increased service life with abrasive media compared to a sealless pump
 Ideal for frequent medium changes, hardening, fast-drying and crystallizing media
